Though I really enjoyed our time at Duckhorn Vineyards, my favorite winery visit was to Nickel & Nickel Single-Vineyard in Oakville. Nestled in the valley featuring a restored, historic farmstead, Nickel & Nickel offers a rich experience of history along with pairings of their wine.

The Experience
A selection of figs, local cheeses, and wine pairings awaited us as we ventured onto the covered patio. Our Wine Educator and host, Gregory, led us through the unique history of the region and taught us how variations in special volcanic soils influence the Nickel & Nickel single-vineyard wines.
After we enjoyed our wine tasting experience, we ventured out onto the rustic property to explore more of Nickel & Nickel's beauty.
