Light rainfall adds texture to a normally motionless surface.
At 103 degrees, Saturday was Missouri's hottest day on record in 2022. The region welcomed the rainfall that followed, and I decided to take advantage of the break in the heatwave with a quick visit to the Missouri Botanical Garden.
Every July signals the return of the garden's water lilies and beckons my return to the garden reflecting pools. Aquatic plants now sprawl across the Linnean House reflecting pools, each uniquely beautiful and captivating.
This dazzling aquatic plant is Ludwigia sedoides.
